Topic - The Wright Brothers

Do you know what the Wright Brothers were famous for?

If you want to find out have a look at this power point.

Science - Paper Plane challenge

Have a go at making different paper airplanes.

How To Make 5 EASY Paper Airplanes that FLY FAR | PPO

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpYS5WtvNvQ

Investigate:

Which paper airplane can fly the furthest?

Which plane went the fastest?

What if we make a smaller or bigger plane?

What if we try making the plane out of a different type of paper e.g newspaper?

If we fly the same plane 3 times will it travel the same distance each time?

If you would like to send a photograph or a picture of your investigation to the teachers@wellandps.org.uk email address then we can put them on our class web page. You could label your picture and write a sentence about what you did if you want.

English

On Friday it is a bank holiday. This year it has been moved from Monday to Friday to coincide with Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day, which marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe.

Why don't you plan a special celebration picnic to have with your teddy bears?

Make each bear a special name place mat.

Plan what you would like to eat and write a menu.

Make your own bunting.

May be you could make some cakes and yummy sandwiches?

I do hope it is sunny on Friday so you can enjoy your picnic in the garden!
