Wrap-around care

Breakfast Club at Welland Primary runs from 7.45 until 8.45am. A variety of cereals and toast are available along with with juice or water. Children have the option to play a game or do colouring before going to their classroom in time for registration. Breakfast Club costs £4.50 per child per day. Sessions should be booked via ParentPay and bookings can be made up until the end of the day before it is required. You can also book sessions well in advance if you prefer.

After school Care
We run two wrap around care sessions after school. Our core session runs from 3.25 until 4.30pm. The cost for this is £4.50 per session. Children who attend are offered a biscuit or fruit. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are taken by staff to attend wrap around care. Once they reach Key Stage 2 teachers remind children if they are attending and they go independently. Children are registered on arrival and must be signed out by their parent/designated adult at collection.

The extended session runs from 4.30 - 6pm. Children are given a biscuit or fruit when they arrive and later a snack (for example toast, crackers, wrap, or savoury muffin) The cost for this session is £4.50 per day. We give children lots of choice of things to do as we understand it is their 'downtime'.  There is a wide range of toys, games and puzzles available and we offer an art activity (colouring, painting, clay) as well as playing group games (circle time games, dodgeball, mini circuits). 

At our wrap around care sessions we loosely follow 'topics' such as Chinese New Year, Spring or Christmas etc and we often have an activity based on the topic. The children thoroughly enjoy it! 

We always try to spend as much time outside as possible and have picnics in good weather. Children who attend usually really enjoy themselves and often do not want to leave! That said, as these wrap-around care clubs are provided by our wonderful and dedicated staff, we do require children to be collected promptly at the appropriate time.

You can use our wrap around care either on a regular basis or just for odd sessions. If children are attending an after school activity/extra curricular club they can join wrap around care after that has finished if you wish.

Booking 

All sessions must be booked and paid for, at least 24 hours in advance, via ParentPay. Please contact finance@wellandps.org.uk if you need any information regarding payment for wrap-around care.

If you would like your child to attend the extension session (from 4:30pm onwards), you must book both the Core Session and the Extended Session, even if your child is only staying for part of the extended time. Children who are not collected promptly at 4:30pm from the Core Session will automatically be added to the Extended Session, and parents will be charged accordingly.

Cancellations made by the parents on ParentPay with more than 24 hours notice will be refunded, otherwise the session will have to be paid for. School will refund if the child is ill on the day or sent home on the day. Parents needs to cancel if the child is ill for more than one day.

Extra-curricular Clubs

We offer a wide range of different extra-curricular after school and lunchtime clubs. These change each term or half term. Parents are notified in advance and can choose which clubs they would like their child to attend.
